Remarks on Ningo-Prampram military operation were not an attack on GAF – Sam George
The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has met the Defence Minister, the Chief of Defence Staff and the three Service Commanders to discuss a military operation in his constituency that triggered public controversy. The incident occurred last Tuesday when soldiers, allegedly led by Lieutenant Albert Goh, entered Ningo-Prampram and seized trucks belonging to residents at a sand-winning site. Some of the affected drivers alleged that they were assaulted and prevented from working. Following the incident, Mr George called for the dismissal of the officer allegedly involved, describing the conduct as “akin to armed robbery”.
