Ben-Gvir: If elections were manipulated using foreign funds new elections must be held
National Security Minister and Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir addressed the allegations against a Knesset member, stating that if it emerges that foreign funds were used to bribe voters and manipulate election results, it would constitute "a shocking corruption scandal and a severe blow to democracy and the sovereignty of the State of Israel." Ben Gvir demanded that, if the allegations are proven, the Knesset member be prosecuted and sentenced to actual imprisonment. He added that if it is established that the election results were manipulated through the use of these funds, steps should be taken to hold new elections as soon as possible. "We will not allow anyone to steal our elections. Anyone who sells elections for money belongs in prison, not in the Israeli Knesset," he declared.
