ICCC, RTA, NCDC AND POLICE join forces to enforce approved PMV AND TAXI Fares
The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC), Road Traffic Authority (RTA), National Capital District Commission (NCDC) and Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) will conduct a joint awareness and compliance exercise in Port Moresby to ensure public motor vehicle (PMV) and taxi operators comply with approved fares. The exercise follows an adjustment to public transport fares approved by the ICCC in response to increased fuel prices in October 2026 and rising public transport operating costs.
