Procedures tightened to prevent polling station delays: Noncompliant officials to be dismissed
The Central Elections Committee clarified that election officials may begin verifying the identity of the next voter in line while the current voter is behind the voting booth curtain casting their ballot, in an effort to reduce waiting times at polling stations. The Director General of the Central Elections Committee warned: "Any polling station secretary who fails to prevent overcrowding will be dismissed from their position."
