NPP-aligned group calls for independent investigation into Obuasi SHTS headmaster allegations
An NPP-aligned group in the Ashanti Region has called for an independent investigation into allegations of misconduct involving the Headmaster of Obuasi Senior High School, Zakaria Abdulai, citing concerns about student safety and the credibility of the inquiry. The group is also urging the Ghana Police Service to investigate possible criminal offences, preserve relevant evidence and protect students and witnesses from intimidation. In a statement issued on Friday, October 23, 2026, and signed by its Regional Coordinator, Kwabena Nsenkyire, the group condemned the alleged misconduct and called for accountability if the allegations are substantiated.
