Kenya API PNR Charge Guide for Air Travellers
The USD 4.95 charge now attached to eligible international journeys through Kenyan airports is not a general airport tax. It is the published service fee for the national Advance Passenger Information and Passenger Name Record system, usually shortened to API and PNR. The official carrier guidance says the fee helps meet the cost of capturing, transmitting, processing and administering those records.
