Sinatra Tribute Pairs Frank Sinatra Classics With 1930s Dining at Prague’s Mánes
Prague’s Art Restaurant Mánes combines live performances of Frank Sinatra’s best-known songs with a three-course dinner inspired by traditional Czech cuisine of the 1930s as part of its Sinatra Tribute programme. The functionalist building offers views of the Vltava River and nearby Žofín Island, providing the setting for an evening dedicated to the music and style of Sinatra’s era. The musical programme features acclaimed soloists, including baritone Daniel Klánský and jazz singer Sophie Lamoš. They perform some of Sinatra’s best-known songs, including *My Way* and *Fly Me to the Moon*, accompanied by a group of musicians. Rather than simply imitating the legendary American singer, the Sinatra Tribute offers its own interpretation of his musical legacy. One of the programme’s highlights is a restored 1897 Steinway & Sons grand piano, an instrument once played by Czech composer and pianist Jaroslav Ježek. The music is complemented by a three-course dinner served before the concert.
