President Herzog: ‘Our hearts are broken by the terrible disaster in the north’
President Isaac Herzog expressed deep sorrow over the death of a 15-year-old boy in the unexploded ordnance blast on Ramim Ridge. “Our hearts are broken by the terrible disaster in the north. A student who left home for a hike with his classmates, for a day of experiences amid the landscapes of our homeland, will never return to his family’s embrace," Herzog said. The president added that the tragedy was part of the heavy price Israel pays amid its complex security reality. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
