In a statement issued Sunday, Al-Alimi extended his condolences to Saudi Arabia's leadership, government and people on behalf of himself, fellow council members, the Yemeni government and people, reaffirming Yemen's solidarity with the Kingdom. “We strongly condemn the Houthi terrorist attack on King Khalid Int’l Airport, which killed many travelers and injured hundreds of people of various nationalities,” Al-Alimi said. “This criminal attack reflects the Houthis’ terrorist nature and their disregard for civilian lives and the interests of the Yemeni people,” he added. Al-Alimi also highlighted Saudi Arabia's continued support for Yemen's economy, public budget and citizens' welfare, including recent measures concerning the status of Yemeni residents in Saudi Arabia.
