Cabinet backs bill imposing up to Sh2 million fine and two‑year jail for unqualified building professionals
Kenya’s cabinet approved a bill that would replace the 1934 construction law, introduce mandatory annual licences and punish fraudulent registration with fines up to Sh2 million and up to two years’ imprisonment.
