Egyptian FM, Arab League chief call Prince Faisal to condemn Houthi attacks
RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received on Thursday phone calls from Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty and Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil Fahmy. During the call, Abdelatty strongly condemned the attacks targeting Abha International Airport and Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, stressing that the escalation and attacks targeting Saudi Arabia's territory constitute a destabilizing threat to the security and stability of the region as a whole. He expressed Egypt's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and affirmed its support in confronting anything that threatens its security, stability, and territorial integrity. The ministers also discussed regional developments and the importance of exerting the necessary efforts and continuing coordination between the two countries in a manner that contributes to supporting security and stability in the region. During the call with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Arab League Chief Fahmy strongly condemned the continued attacks by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia's territory, affirming that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Arab national security. They discussed the latest developments in the region, as well as ways to enhance the work of the Arab League, and efforts to activate its role in addressing various regional challenges.
