UCT study puts South Africa’s celebrations economy above R500bn
A new UCT Liberty Institute study estimates that weddings, cultural ceremonies, religious gatherings and other celebrations contribute more than R500bn a year to South Africa’s economy, despite mounting financial pressure on households.
