Kyrgyzstan spends over $34 million on flour imports since January
Kyrgyzstan remains heavily dependent on imports of strategic food products: in the first seven months of 2026, flour imports exceeded exports 3,400 times. Kazakhstan is the main and virtually sole supplier, shipping 88,800 tonnes of flour products to Kyrgyzstan, data from the National Statistical Committee say.
