Earth Today | ‘Keep 1.5 alive’
SMALL ISLAND developing states (SIDS) are insisting that countries set clear, concrete commitments to strengthen the global response to climate change and put the world back on a path towards the 1.5 degrees Celsius goal. This temperature goal is considered a critical threshold for limiting devastating climate change impacts – from extreme weather events to impaired food and water security, compromised public health, and disrupted national economies.
