Boy makes own model BCRS machine, becomes neighbourhood 'recycling ambassador'
Intrigued by the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS), a boy made his own model machine and actively educates his friends and family about the scheme.In a video posted to his social media accounts on Tuesday (Sept 22), Ethan Chai is seen parading his model BCRS machine and spreading the word about recycling.He is seen proudly showing off his miniature BCRS machine, crafted with a cardboard box and coloured paper, and it resembles the life-sized version, with similar colour schemes, text and icons on all sides of the box.His model also has a cutout for recyclable cans, which he uses to demonstrate how the machine works.The caption reads: "This boy is seriously taking 'Be the change' to heart!"Ethan is the "neighbourhood's little recycling ambassador", and is seen telling people, "from friends to neighbours", about the scheme.In the video, he is heard asking an elderly couple: "Do you know what BCRS means?"He excitedly tells them about the scheme, explaining that only cans with the designated BCRS labels can be recycled.
