'More important than his own life?' Netizens question man chasing dog in the middle of the road
A man was seen running in the middle of a road while chasing a dog, prompting several vehicles to slow down and manoeuvre around them.A 38-second video of the incident was posted on the Facebook page Beh Chia Lor on Sunday (Sept 20).The footage appears to have been taken on Still Road towards Marine Parade.The footage, which appears to have been recorded by a cyclist, shows a man in a black tank top and slippers running along the middle lane of a road. A small dog can be seen running ahead of him, with the man appearing to chase after it.Several vehicles approaching from behind slowed down and changed lanes to avoid the man and the dog.At one point, a rider on an e-bike can also be seen moving towards the middle of the road in an apparent attempt to steer the dog towards the side, but it didn't work.Towards the end of the video, the dog runs into a queue of vehicles waiting at a traffic light to turn right.The incident has since drawn attention online, with some commenters expressing concern over the man's safety as he ran with his back to oncoming traffic.
