Qatar rejects report it funded Hamas
Qatar strongly rejected the claims that it funded Hamas, claiming that the New Yorker investigation was based on false information and recycled and forged documents, which it said were part of an anti-Qatari campaign. The Qatari Information Office statement claimed that elements on the far-right in Israel were behind the distribution of the documents. Doha also emphasized: "Nothing was transferred to Gaza without Israeli approval, whether it was financial aid or essential goods."
