NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - Florida’s Naples Zoo has been inducted into TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame.
The Naples Daily News reports the new status comes after the zoo earned TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence award five years in a row. That award is given to hotels, restaurants and attractions and is based on getting great reviews on TripAdvisor over the year. The Naples Zoo’s president and CEO, Jack Mulvena, says the zoo is proud of the designation.
The nationally accredited zoo and historic garden is a nonprofit that was founded in 1969 in what was once botanist Dr. Henry Nehrlin’s gardens.
