UConn star Azzi Fudd inks deal with Steph Curry brand

University of Connecticut women's basketball star Azzi Fudd is entering a partnership with Steph Curry's SC30 Inc. brand, ESPN reported early Wednesday.

The 19-year-old's new NIL contract will support her endeavors both on and off the court, ESPN said.

Additionally, Curry wants to mentor Fudd personally as she juggles college with being both a star athlete and a public figure.

"Azzi Fudd is the best choice to start a brand relationship like this because she is the next face of women's basketball and has been a part of SC30 Inc. and the Curry Brand family since she was an invitee to the All-American Camp," Curry said.

The partnership is a longtime coming since Fudd met the NBA champion a few years back.

"I've stayed connected to him and have always admired his incredible talent and accomplishments, but also his humility and the impact he has on people," Fudd said.

Fudd isn't the only UConn talent getting inked to a big NIL deal. Earlier this week, teammate Paige Bueckers became the first college athlete to be sponsored by Gatorade.
