Yes Bank sells 2.13% stake of Fortis Healthcare in multiple tranches

Yes Bank sold 12,337,323 equity shares, constituting 2.1279 percent of the paid-up share capital of Fortis Healthcare (FHL), in various tranches, the last one being on December 18, 2018.

Private sector lender Yes Bank on December 18 sold more than 2 percent stake of Fortis Healthcare in open market transactions.

The bank sold 12,337,323 equity shares, constituting 2.1279 percent of the paid-up share capital of Fortis Healthcare (FHL) in various tranches, the last one being on December 18, 2018.

"The stake sale is resulting into a change in holding of the bank by more than 2 percent of the total shareholding of FHL, from the last disclosure made by the bank on March 15, 2018," Yes Bank said.

It had earlier sold 11,239,035 equity shares (representing 2.17 percent of total paid-up equity) of Fortis Healthcare in various tranches on March 15.

The bank had acquired 89,781,906 equity shares (representing 17.31 percent of paid-up equity) of FHL, pursuant to the invocation of pledge on the said equity shares subsequent to default by promoters group companies in the credit facility provided by the lender.

Fortis Healthcare scrip closed at Rs 136.35, down 0.84 percent on Tuesday and lost 15 percent year-to-date.
