NASA invites conspiracy theorist Stephen Curry to see moon rocks

NASA would like a chance to set the record straight with Golden State Warriors star and noted conspiracy theorist Stephen Curry.

The All-Star guard suggested the moon landing was fake. Now, per Benjamin Hoffman of the New York Times, NASA spokesman Allard Beutel invited Curry to tour the lunar lab at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

“We have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks stored there, and the Apollo mission control. During his visit, he can see firsthand what we did 50 years ago, as well as what we’re doing now to go back to the moon in the coming years, but this time to stay.”

Put simply, it would be careless of Curry to say the moon landing is fake yet ignore an opportunity to further research the matter at the source.

Surely someone of his popularity understands the weight his actions carry. His words can dramatically affect how young, impressionable fans think. A former astronaut has already trolled Curry because of this.

Hopefully, Curry will take after Kyrie Irving, who suggested the world is flat before eventually apologizing.

To continue being recklessly wrong — and loud about it — would be irresponsible.
