PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A junkyard in Northeast Philadelphia erupted into flames Sunday night, suspending some SEPTA and Amtrak service.
Philly.com reports that the Philadelphia Fire Department is on scene in the city’s Frankford section.
NBC 10 says the fire began shortly before 7 p.m. and that no injuries have been reported.
No further information was released.
SEPTA had tweeted that service had been restored on some lines with delays while it remained suspended on other regional transit lines “until further notice” due to a “fire near Holmesburg Junction.”
Amtrak also tweeted that “due to a fire near the tracks” in Philadelphia, multiple trains had been stopped.
