Campaign Action
When he’s not busying chit-chatting with a Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) designated hate group founded by eugenicist John Tanton, Thomas Homan—the soon-to-retire acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)—lies. He prefers to do this on state television, where he can do it without push-back and with the aid of television personalities complicit in his ethnic cleansing agenda (*cough Tucker Carlson cough*).
But, when he appears on basically any other network, it can be a different story. When he was asked by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer during a live television interview if the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy—which has brutally ripped thousands of children from the arms of screaming migrant parents at the U.S/Mexico border—was “humane,” Homan momentarily froze, and lied:
After pausing a stumbling a bit, Homan deflected and said, “I think—I think it is the law.”
“I think”? “I THINK”? If you’re going to lie to our faces, can you at least lie with the confidence of Kellyanne Conway or Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who will tell you over and over again that “look, cats bark,” and then gaslight you to the point where you actually start to doubt your own sanity and question yourself, “wait, maybe cats really do bark? Shit! Get it together, man!”
So, for the millionth time, this is Trump policy, and one that he could end as quickly as he started it. Homan knows it, he’s just a liar, and a bad one to boot. When Blitzer again asked whether “the policy … is humane,” Homan yet again froze and momentarily stared off what must be the empty, barren bleakness that is his soul. “I think it’s the law,” he again claimed. Honestly, fuck off, dude. Fucking retire already, and enjoy getting publicly shunned for the rest of your life like you deserve.
