Attendees talk with NASA staff at exhibit booths during Sneak Peek Friday at the USA Science and Engineering Festival, Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The festival, which was open to the public, occurred April 7-8.

At the festival, NASA showcased the future of human space exploration – including the Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System rocket. Exhibits also allowed attendees to learn about viewing the universe through Hubble‘s lens; X-rays and gamma rays; looking for the ingredients for life on other worlds; living and working on the International Space Station; big breakthroughs with small satellites; NASA aeronautics’ plans for new X-planes, and more.
