BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Montana authorities say a woman who was hit by a train while walking along railroad tracks and talking on a cellphone has been hospitalized.

Billings Police Sgt. Shane Winden says the train rolled over the 46-year-old woman on Wednesday after it hit her and she fell onto the middle of the track.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/2vaXIGz ) she was hit by a Rail Link engine with a single car traveling about 7 mph (11 kph).

Winden says the woman was responsive as emergency crews worked to free her from under the train.

He says she declined medical attention but was unable to stand, so crews took her to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.
