Dior showcased the Men’s Summer 2019 Collection created by Kim Jones in Paris earlier this year and it is now available online and in pop up stores.Artistic Director of Dior Men, Kim Jones made his debut with Men’s Summer 2019 Collection for the French house, which specializes in luxury fashion and accessories. A campaign for the collection has since then gone live and focuses on the Dior bee, which has been recreated as a large cuddly figure with pink flowers used as a backdrop. The bee is also featured on several pieces of clothing including jackets and jeans and takes on a striking pink hue.The Men’s Summer 2019 Collection is now available online as well as in stores. Pop up stores such as the famous Isetan department store in Tokyo were among the first to receive looks from the collection. Among the other locations, offering the collection is the concept store Maxfield, which is located in the city of Los Angeles.Jones partnered with artist Brian Donnelly who creates art under the professional name of KAWS. The artist helped re-imagine the bee emblem, which has been associated with the masculine offerings from the house for many years. KAWS interpreted the bee emblem, which is inspired by Christian Dior’s observation “You can never go wrong if you take nature as an example” with bold and oversized x-shaped eyes.
