Clare Waight Keller, the Artistic Director of Givenchy, showcased a JAW sneaker during the Fall Winter 2018 runway show and it is now available as a low-top version.The JAW sneaker has a “killer” look due to the large notches on the sole which resemble the jaws of a Great White shark. Designed by Clare Waight Keller, the Artistic Director of Givenchy who took over the reins in 2017, the sneaker showcases the new direction she has been taken the house in. Keller’s work at Givenchy dominated headlines earlier this year, when she designed the wedding dress for the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle as she wed Prince Harry. Since then Keller’s creations have been spotted on the Duchess of Sussex on multiple occasions.With the JAW sneaker, however a different strength of Keller, namely her ability to create trendy street style is being showcased. The sneaker that was released earlier this year as a high-top version in black has now been expanded with low-top versions. Offered in white for men and women and black for men the low-top sneakers were announced recently. Since the announcement they have quickly become one of fall’s must haves for those who want to sport the very latest in urban style.Created with a combination of mesh, suede, neoprene and topped off with leather, the JAW sneaker has very little embellishment and can be paired with several outfits to create a hard-hitting look.
