The Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have made a trade that works perfectly for both sides. Jacksonville is without Leonard Fournette, who has been out with a hamstring injury. The Jags have been using T.J. Yeldon and signed Jamaal Charles after two of their other backs got hurt. Hyde, 28, has 114 carries for 382 yards and five touchdowns this season. His yards per carry is down to 3.4. Even though Hyde is considered to be a solid running back whom Jacksonville finds desirable, simply getting rid of him should make the Browns better. The numbers have shown that the Browns are a better team when giving the ball to Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson; Hyde was just blocking those two from getting more touches. Not only should Hyde’s absence lead the Browns to put the ball in the hands of better playmakers, but they also are getting a draft pick for doing so. Smart move. Read more
