The flared footed urn has a foliate molded edge and is mounted with large scrolled floral and branch decorated handles. The vase sits atop a square platform with reeded sides above highly decorated cabriole legs with floral returns and paw feet. This all rest on a squared and paneled platform with matching foliate decorated moldings. A The front of this platform is neatly engraved with the coat of arms and motto for the Scottish Earl of Dysart, A“Confido conquiescoA”. Markers marks are found at the base of the platform and beneath the footed urn. The underside of the urn is also marked by the prestigious royal goldsmiths of Rundell, Bridge and Rundell. Paul Storr (1770-1844) is most well-known for his Neoclassical forms, many of which were produced this celebrated firm. Height 20 A¾A” A Width 20A” 289.46 Troy oz. Very minor typical surface abrasions and small nick at proper right edge of the lower platform. Estimate $40,000 - $60,000- Important Jacques Villon etching. «Portrait d'Acteur 1913». Cubist etching. Portrait of Felix Barre. Signed and inscribed on the lower margin. Rich impression. Notation states edition of 32 impressions and two trial proofs were pulled from the plate. Lucien Goldschmidt Inc. Depicting a warrior hunting lion. Reset in the 1970's in New York City and purchased at that time by Robert Cornell, descendant of Cornell University Founders. Set into a steel framed bed of cement plaster. Overall size- 36-1/2« x 47». Estimate $12,000 - $18,000- Eugene Verboeckhoven. Large landscape painting of a bull jumping a fence to escape. Cattle in the background. Signed lower right. Oil on panel. Sight size: 28-1/2« x 22». A nearly identical painting of scene and size sold at Christies, Amsterdam 11/20/13 for $46,000. Framed in original fluted cove frame. Overall frame size: 42« x 35». Dated 1851 on reverse. Estimate $12,000 - $15,000- Large Roman Mosaic plaque. 3rd to 5th century A.D. Depicting Apollo playing a lyre harp. Reset in the 1970's in New York City and purchased at that time by Robert Cornell, Cornell, descendant of Cornell University Founders. Set into a steel framed bed of cement plaster. Overall size- 27« x 31». Estimate $9,000 - $12,000- Augustus Saint Gaudens. Bronze circular plaque of Robert Louis Stevenson, 1900. Created in 1887. Dedicated to Eugene and Oliver Emmerson in upper left. Upper right- signed and dated «XMAS M.D.CT.C.C.» (1900). Copyright on bottom center. 17-3/4« to 18» diameter. Top possibly bent in.
