Artist Tony Peralta was recently on “Brad Show Live” and revealed a lot about his childhood. “I’ve been drawing all my life,” Peralta said while talking about his past on “Brad Show Live.” “Drawing and art were the only things I was good at when I was younger. In school, I wasn’t always the best student. I figured out later in life that I was a visual learner,” he added.“The acclaimed artist works out of his flagship studio, titled the Peralta Project, which is located in uptown Manhattan. His studio doubles as a store and invites customers to purchase custom-styled clothing in addition to an array of pins, prints, hats, and home goods,” as per Brad Show Live.The artist has never shied away from talking about his shortcomings as a child. He did not fare well in some subjects like math or science during his growing up years. However, he got himself enrolled in several art classes to convert his passion and dream into reality. All his hard work has paid off and Peralta is now known as a celebrated Afro-Latino contemporary artist.Peralta was born to Dominican parents. Both his parents migrated to America to fight poverty and free themselves of a life of adversities.“When you grow up in immigrant culture, they [immigrants] teach you not to take risks. It’s like you have to get a job. But, they [my parents] both came here without speaking the language, not knowing anybody. I feel like now, by being an entrepreneur, I am honoring them by taking the risk of opening up a shop and doing the stuff that I do,” revealed Peralta on the show.His talent for graphic designing was actually harnessed after college, he explained on “Brad Show Live.” He drew inspiration from hip-hop and his Dominican culture. The artist clubbed his two worlds to come up with his own standout brand consisting of bold, vibrant designs.With time, Peralta’s success in the world of art grew tremendously. Lately, he was honored at the New York City Dominican Parade. He took the onus of designing sports jerseys for Nike’s Soccer City Clash.
