Chanel is increasing its commitment to its Metiers d’art with the establishment of a dedicated new site to be completed in the near future in the 19th arrondissement in Paris, as per the brand’s website.“Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel SAS, laid the first foundation stone of the building on Monday, alongside Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris. ‘This remarkable and ambitious project will be a new chapter in the great adventure that Chanel is pleased to have initiated more than 30 years ago: that of perpetuating the Metiers d’art in Paris, near the creation studios.’ — Bruno Pavlovsky,” says the brand’s website.The site where the foundation stone has been laid is the fallow industrial land of Paris’ 19th arrondissement.
