The interesting dynamic here is that Brooklyn would be willing to break up its talented young core. Russell, 23, is set to become a restricted free agent in July after putting up an All-Star performance in 2018-19. The former top-five pick averaged 21.1 points and 7.0 rebounds on 37% shooting from distance. Meanwhile, Allen averaged 10.9 points and 8.4 rebounds during his sophomore season.
