Thirteen Crosby, a new Soho shopping experience, has become a go-to destination for many shoppers when it comes to luxury clothing and accessories. The creative team behind the award-winning MATSU in Boston and Eastern Accent International, Dava and Masayuki Muramatsu, have collaborated with Hiroshige Akase, CEO of Made in Japan Project, Inc. and Kaori Matsuzaka, to open Thirteen Crosby in Manhattan, as per the official release. “We are grateful to have this opportunity to showcase skilfully crafted items from around the world. Over the years, we have honed what we offer and how we present these distinctive items to our customers. Shoppers are much more sophisticated today than when we opened on Newbury Street in Boston in the 1980s,” said Dava Muramatsu, the guiding design vision behind Thirteen Crosby at the launch. “This neighborhood attracts international visitors so we know we will feel at home here.” The shopping destination, spread across an area of 2,000 square-feet, offers a curated selection of imported outstanding luxuries. Thirteen Crosby offers unique gifts for discerning clientele. Take for instance, artisan-crafted home decor items from Japan, Turkey, and France, which include glassware, dinnerware, flatware, linens, bedding, and incense. Fashion forward items include clothing, jewelry, scarves, and bags. Thirteen Crosby presents an array of events and demonstrations at the Atelier Bar including the art of tea ceremony, sushi creations, and mixing your own signature scent. For more than 35 years, Eastern Accent has been introducing original Japanese modern designs to the world with affordable artisan-crafted lifestyle luxuries for home and office. Eastern Accent has won several Design awards, and supplies retailers like The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Essenza, Washington; Rock Paper Scissors, Maine; and Tortoise Life, California. Dava Muramatsu’s boutique MATSU has won numerous Best of Boston Awards during its 32-year tenure on Newbury Street, including best shopping experience and best accessories. MATSU brought the best of French, Italian, Japanese, and American fashion, jewelry, and accessories to Boston.
