Ulysse Nardin recently brought its limited-edition timepiece the Marine Torpilleur Military US Navy that features a Caliber UN-118 movement to Annapolis.At the launch of the Marine Torpilleur Military US Navy timepiece, Ulysse Nardin took the opportunity to showcase its rich maritime history with the United States Naval Academy. The partnership with the academy located in Annapolis was kicked off in 1905 when Ulysse Nardin won a competition, and as a result became of supplier of on-board chronometers for the boats of the US Navy.Based on the initial success of the chronometers onboard torpedo boats, Ulysse Nardin has built a long-standing partnership with the United States Navy. The Marine Torpilleur Military US Navy is the latest offering from the company and is designed specifically for use on Torpedo Boats. The watch is also a superb example of the expertise of the company which was founded in 1846 and is currently among the leading luxury watch manufacturers in Switzerland.The Marine Torpilleur Military US Navy timepiece is a highly accurate chronometer designed for the wrist and its case has a diameter of 44mm. Sturdy stainless steel is employed in the case and the bezel which has a fluted finish and sapphire crystal is present over the case back. The self-winding model houses a Caliber UN-118 movement which is designed by the company and it provides a power reserve of up to 60 hours.
