In the French Empire style, the triform base with classical leaf border supporting three finely sculpted winged female torsi around central column, surmounted by circular mount applied with empire motifs and enclosing the Greek antique green marble top, post-1878 French export marks, 101cm., 40in. diameter; 89cm., 35in. high. Incised with the artist's signature, dated 2010 and numbered on the underside, 18 carat gold, 48.3 cm., 19 in. Executed in 2010, this work is from an edition of 1, plus 1 artist's proof. Estimate: 300,000 — 400,000 GBP (385,560 - 514,080 USD)- Jean-Leon Gerome (1824 – 1904): French Corinth. Signed: J.L. Gerome, inscribed: Non Licet Omnibus / Adire Corinthum (Not everybody can go to Corinth), stamped: Siot - Paris and: Bronze and numbered: 129M. Bronze, gilt patina, inlaid with semi-precious stones, 73.5 cm., 28 7/8 in. overall. Estimate: 250,000 — 350,000 GBP (321,300 - 449,820 USD)- A French gilt-bronze mounted frosted cut crystal 'Elephant' liqueur set by Baccarat, made for or after the Exposition Universelle de Paris of 1878, circa 1880. The body of the elephant in frosted and pearlised crystal with a harness, draped and ornamented with gilt-bronze, supporting a palanquin in the form of an Indian temple carved with the god Ganesh in low relief, the palanquin in the form of a liqueur set containing a removable stand containing four decanters in engraved and gilded crystal with a harness for two rows of six goblets with handles, standing on a bevelled and diamond cut crystal tray with a gilt-bronze border and handles forming the trunk and heads of the elephant, 62.5cm high, 56.5cm wide, 23cm deep; 2ft., 1ft. 10 1/4in., 9 1/16in. Estimate: 250,000 — 400,000 GBP (321,300 - 514,080 USD)- A pair of large 18ct gold and plique-a-jour enamel vases, McCabe & McCarty for Asprey & Garrard, London, 1998. Each bowl of tapering foliate form with scalloped rim, polychrome enamelled plique-a-jour v-sections of floral sprays, the spreading conical circular base similarly enamelled in triangular lozenges, signed Asprey & Garrard. 33 cm., 13 in. high, 5598 gr., 180 oz..
