«Truth isn't truth» wasn't the only alternative fact Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani spun on Meet the Press Sunday. He also tried to sell the nation on the lie that Trump campaign chiefs Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort didn't know Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was Russian or that she was a representative of the Russian government. «She didn’t represent the Russian government, she’s a private citizen,» Giuliani told Chuck Todd. «I don’t even know if they knew she was Russian at the time. All they had was her name.» Todd responded, «I think they knew she was Russian, but okay.» «Well, they knew it when they met with her, not when they set up the meeting,» Giuliani shot back. «They didn’t know she was a representative of the Russian government and indeed, she’s not a representative of the Russian government. So, this is much ado about nothing.» Right. Another lie. Here's what Rob Goldstone told Don Jr. in the email to set up the meeting—which Jr. later publicly released himself! The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father. This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump That's when Jr. famously responded, «if it's what you say I love it.» Even by Giuliani’s own declaration that “they knew it when they met with her,” they still should have contacted the FBI immediately. That never happened. They contacted no one and then lied about the meeting when reporters started sniffing around. Between Trump, Don Jr. and now Rudy, it’s nearly impossible to track all the times that they have lied about the Trump Tower meeting. And that’s the truth.
Approximately two hours after Donald Trump took to Twitter to spew a boatload of venom at Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Melania Trump was speaking at a “bullying prevention summit,” and said of social media: It can be used in many positive ways, but can also be destructive and harmful when used incorrectly. Oh, Melania. To be fair, she did add a caveat that could be seen as giving her husband a pass on his destructive and harmful ways: That is why Be Best chooses to focus on the importance of teaching our next generation how to conduct themselves ... Nice save.
With Donald Trump issuing more claims that the Reich is being “censored” on social media platforms, other Republicans are scanning walls, tweets, and grams with calibrated eyeballs, looking for signs of any leftward tilt. And the clearly super tech-savvy majority leader of the House, Republican Representative Kevin McCarthy, caught Twitter blatantly blocking the posts of a hard right “thought” leader. xAnother day, another example of conservatives being censored on social media. @jack easy fix: explain to Congress what is going on. #StopTheBias cc @IngrahamAngle pic.twitter.com/QjzpmfadXS— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) August 17, 2018 Yeah, get on that, @jack. Except … what’s blocking Ingraham’s post from appearing for McCarthy isn’t a filter on Republican thought. It’s that he has the filter on his own account cranked down to levels appropriate to the average kindergarten viewer. It’s not Twitter blocking the post. It’s McCarthy. Ingraham’s post contains the word “pedophile,” which apparently tweaked the “save my delicate sensibilities” setting McCarthy had set for his account. Maybe he should issue a tweet complaining about that guy censoring conservatives. A few tens of thousands of Twitter users have tried to point this out to the majority leader since the tweet went up. But McCarthy has neither responded nor changed his filter. It’s almost as if he doesn’t care about the truthfulness of his statement and was only trying to score a quick point with people too ignorant to see his ignorance.
It doesn’t take a genius to know that Donald Trump attacks the Mueller investigation when it gets too close to home. So what kicked off Trump’s latest two days of hissy fits? The New York Times report that White House counsel Don McGahn has been cooperating with the Mueller investigation, which led to the realization that Trump’s personal lawyers don’t know what he’s said. McGahn has done 30 hours of interviews with the special counsel’s team. THIRTY. He went into them believing that Trump’s lawyers were trying to set him up as the fall guy for any wrongdoing the investigation uncovered, and with permission—thanks to Trump’s lawyers at the time, who decided to have Trump waive attorney-client privilege for McGahn’s interviews—to speak freely. And then: Mr. McGahn’s lawyer, William A. Burck, gave the president’s lawyers a short overview of the interview but few details, and he did not inform them of what Mr. McGahn said in subsequent interactions with the investigators, according to a person close to Mr. Trump. The Saturday Times report about the extent of McGahn’s cooperation with the investigation was apparently the first time it occurred to Trump or his current lawyers that they didn’t know what McGahn had said. Trump’s current lawyers are going with the strategy of firmly asserting that McGahn helped Trump … whatever it was he said, which they don’t know. But a quick glance at Trump’s Twitter feed shows just how rattled he is.
On Sunday morning, Donald Trump “lawyer” Rudy Giuliani appeared on Meet the Press and made the mind-boggling claim that when it comes to his client talking to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, they have to be careful about a perjury trap because "truth isn't truth.” On Monday morning, Rudy took to Twitter to clean up his mess: xMy statement was not meant as a pontification on moral theology but one referring to the situation where two people make precisely contradictory statements, the classic âÂÂhe said, she saidâ puzzle. Sometimes further inquiry can reveal the truth other times it doesnâÂÂt.— Rudy Giuliani (@RudyGiuliani) August 20, 2018 Nice try, Rudy.
Donald Trump is on day two of a Twitter hissy fit about the Mueller investigation, and specifically the New York Times report that White House counsel Don McGahn has been cooperating with the investigation. Trump required three long tweets to vent his rage, in every line conveying his belief that the special counsel’s team is as corrupt and rage-driven as Trump personally. Which makes some sense—if you’re a narcissist with a rage problem and a tunnel view of the world, being able to imagine that other people are driven by things other than narcissism and rage is probably just about impossible. xDisgraced and discredited Bob Mueller and his whole group of Angry Democrat Thugs spent over 30 hours with the White House Councel, only with my approval, for purposes of transparency. Anybody needing that much time when they know there is no Russian Collusion is just someone....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 20, 2018 We’ll get to the next part in a moment, but first, “disgraced and discredited” … because Donald Trump says so? Yes, Team Trump is on a mission to discredit Mueller, but they haven’t managed to come up with anything that’s substantively discrediting other than “we don’t like him.” And bear in mind that Mueller, the head of the “Angry Democrat Thugs” is in fact a Republican. The best part, though, may be the “when they know there is no Russian Collusion,” as if this is a proven fact vs. the very heart of the investigation and something for which there is a large and growing pile of evidence. Moving along: x....looking for trouble. They are enjoying ruining peopleâÂÂs lives and REFUSE to look at the real corruption on the Democrat side - the lies, the firings, the deleted Emails and soooo much more! MuellerâÂÂs Angry Dems are looking to impact the election. They are a National Disgrace!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 20, 2018

New research boosts the case for quantum entanglement. Scientists have used distant quasars, one of which emitted its light 7.8 billion years ago and the other 12.2 billion years ago, to determine the measurements to be made on pairs of entangled photons. They found correlations among more than 30,000 pairs of photons -- far exceeding the limit for a classically based mechanism.

The PASEO nighttime art festival emerged in 2014 as a platform to present installation, performance and projection art on the streets of Taos Historic District. Taos, New Mexico is a town with a long-standing reputation as an art destination and is arguably one of the oldest art colonies in the United States, founded in 1898. The town itself was established in 1615 and is adjacent to the thousand-year-old Taos Pueblo. Combined, Taos is perhaps an unlikely site for a new media art festival, focused this year on the cosmos, however the community has embraced the event. More
