Patrick Reed was upset with a ruling during the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday, and he implied that Jordan Spieth would have been treated differently if the three-time major winner had found himself in the same predicament.After he shanked his approach shot into some heavy brush on the Par-4 11th at Bay Hill, Reed felt that he should have been granted free relief from some hanging cable wires. A rules official determined that Reed had enough room to take a stance, and Reed disagreed. Here’s a video of the exchange: As you can see, Reed sarcastically said Spieth would have been given relief. He also implied that the rules official was biased, which seemed uncalled for unless there was some history we don’t know about.Of course, Reed was likely referring to the infamous delay Spieth caused at the Open Championship last year after hitting a tee shot about 100 yards right of the fairway.
