Missouri Republicans has really gone off-the-rails in recent years. One after another, the so-called party of “family values” were engulfed a series of sexual harassment and frat party-like stories emerging from the state legislature. Rising Republican and Speaker of the House John Diehl resigned in 2015 after it was revealed the then married 49-year-old sent “sexually charged” text messages to a college freshman working as an intern in the legislature. And now in 2018 we have controversial Republican Governor Eric Greitens. Yesterday St. Louis City Grand Jury indicted him on a felony invasion of privacy charge stemming from an extramarital affair he had with a woman who claimed that during their first sexual encounter, he coaxed her to his basement and with her consent, he tied her up and blindfolded her. He then photographed her nude in the compromising position, something she says she did not consent to and it took her by surprise. Greitens then allegedly blackmailed her with the photo sayin that if she ever told anyone of their affair, he would release the photo publicly. Nice guy, eh? He denied it, but apparently a grand jury found enough credible evidence to charge him with a felony. So, how did the “family values” Republicans of Missouri react to the felony charge? The blackmail? The extramarital affair? George Soros, the billionaire Democratic donor and favorite longtime boogeyman of Republicans everywhere is to blame! xHereâÂÂs our full statement on the recent news re: Governor Greitens â¬Â︠pic.twitter.com/QlsRmlgEivâ Missouri GOP (@MissouriGOP) February 23, 2018 Read more
